Your ship will dock at the Port of Valencia. This is a large commercial port with multiple piers. The cruise terminal is a modern facility that can accommodate large cruise ships. However, due to its status as a working commercial port, you are not permitted to walk off the ship and into the town. A complimentary shuttle bus service is usually provided by the port to take you to a designated point near the city center, or your cruise line may provide its own shuttle.

The Port of Valencia has a passenger terminal with modern facilities. It features direct walkways to the ships, a tourist information desk, and retail shops. The terminal is a large, permanent building that is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for your needs.

You'll find restrooms, a tourist information desk with friendly staff who can provide maps and directions, and a few small shops selling souvenirs and snacks. Be aware that some ATMs may charge a fee for withdrawals.

  • Public Bus: The public bus system is an excellent and affordable way to get around the city. The bus stop is located near the port, and a single ticket costs €1.50. Bus line 4 is a direct route that can take you to the city center. 

  • Taxis: Taxis are available at the cruise terminal. The ride to the city center takes about 15 minutes and will cost around €14-€18. 

  • Hop-on-Hop-off Bus: A hop-on-hop-off bus service is also available at the port and is a convenient way to see the city's highlights. 

  • Metro: The metro system is a great way to get around the city. While it does not go directly to the port, you can take a bus to a metro station.

Valencia has an accessibility rating of 6 out of 10. The cruise terminals are modern and accessible, and a shuttle bus from the ship to the terminal is available. The city center is largely pedestrian-friendly, with flat and well-maintained sidewalks. Public toilets are available in Valencia, but they are not very common. Your best bet is to use the restrooms in the cruise terminals, or in cafes and restaurants. Some places may charge a small fee.
